Now that spring has well and truly sprung, it can only mean summer’s on the way! And to help us all get in the mood, Saturday June 9th sees the welcome return of the Carshalton Carnival 2018.
Once more, the Wallington & Carshalton Round Table and The Rotary Club of Carshalton Park have done themselves proud and put their heads together to organise another fantastic day for everyone living in and around the Carshalton area.
As usual, it all takes place in Carshalton Park on Ruskin Road with gates opening at 12 noon, and it’s already looking to be another fantastic event. So what’s on the agenda this year?
2018 sees this vibrant community event return to Carshalton park with an array of community and charity stalls and licensed refreshments. Plus, the performance arena is back, and, direct from Epsom Derby, the Roses Funfair will be around all weekend too.
With more acts and stalls to be announced in the run up to Carshalton Carnival 2018, so far the line up includes something for everyone. In the main arena, there’ll be displays by the K2K Stars Performing Arts Academy, the Caterham Allstars Cheerleading, and den and tent building from the 9th Carshalton Scouts.
And as we’ve got our fingers crossed for a sunny day, why not make your way to the beer tent before you visit the tombolas, cake stand, and archery. In the meantime, the kids can be occupied with face painting, sand art, and donkey rides. And there’s also plenty of fund-raising, charity and awareness stalls to visit.

Expertly organised by the Wallington & Carshalton Round Table and The Rotary Club of Carshalton Park, each year Carshalton Park plays host to the annual carnival, and delivers a whole weekend of exciting, family fun for the whole community - rain or shine!
As a non-profit community event, profits made over the weekend go towards local charities and the local community, giving help where it’s needed most. But every year, it relies on volunteers’ hard work to make it happen, so everyone in the community makes it a success, and benefits from it, every year.
Carshalton Carnival 2018 is held in Carshalton Park on Saturday June 9th, and opens its gates at 12.00pm noon, closing at 5.00pm. And for the second year running, entry is absolutely free. The funfair opens at the same time and continues into the evening, closing at 9.00pm.
The main entrance is on The Park road, but other entrances around the park will be open. Some limited parking restrictions around the main entrance may apply, so keep an eye out. Dogs are welcome on site if they’re on a lead and they don’t mind lots of people.
