Carshalton Schools - A Local Guide

Moving to a new home, especially to a new area, can be a stressful time. It’s certainly a major life change, and one that deserves a lot of research beforehand: choosing the perfect place to live, the distance and route to your new job, and if you have a young family, where to send your kids to school.

With school catchment areas often being an overriding factor in where many people choose to live, it’s not a decision to be taken lightly. So if Carshalton has made it as one of your ‘most preferred’ locations to settle down in, we’ve put together a list of Carshalton schools to help make your decision a bit easier.

About Carshalton

Being just 10 miles due South of central London, you could be forgiven for thinking Carshalton might have been swallowed up by the ever-growing capital. In reality, you couldn’t be further from the truth. Though sitting just West of Croydon on the A232, with its excellent bus and rail links, Carshalton still has a village character at its heart, retaining all the suburban qualities it’s known for.

Among its scenic parks, landmarks, and listed buildings, Carshalton is well served for both primary and secondary education, with more than a handful of mixed schools in the area. There’s even Carshalton College for older students looking for full or part time courses, and apprenticeships.

But with each school committed to providing an inspiring and exciting learning environment for every pupil, the choice might be tougher than you thought - especially with the high Ofsted ratings in the area. Here, we’ve given you a list of just some of the many Primary and Secondary Schools in Carshalton and the surrounding area.
