Not only is Carshalton a great place to live
and raise a family, but thanks to Carshalton College, it is also a great place
to study too. To showcase some of the amazing courses that you can study at the
College, they run a Carshalton college open day for all local students
and their parents to attend.
For more than 60 years, Carshalton College has been providing what is regarded as an outstanding learning environment. They provide a variety of different course types to those aged over 16 years old. This includes full time, part time, apprenticeships, access, undergraduate and supported learning courses.
The courses at Carshalton College cover a
number of different subjects. This includes; art and design, accounting,
digital media, construction, carpentry, plumbing, motor vehicle, childcare,
catering, beauty, sport and hairdressing.
The Carshalton
College Open Day is designed to give prospective students and their
families the chance to visit the college and learn more about what it can offer
the young people of the area. During the open day session, you will have the
opportunity to find out about all of the courses that are on offer across the
college. You can also meet all of the friendly and helpful staff that works
hard throughout the college. This includes the tutors and the head of college,
Janet Smith, who will be talking about the new GCSE grading and what life is
like at Carshalton.
You can take a tour of all of the amazing
facilities throughout the college, get advice on the study options that are available
as well as complete an application form there and then to register your
interest.
It is important to pre-register for these
events and if you do so you will receive a ticket that will allow you immediate
entry. This only relates to prospective students; anyone attending with you
does not need to register their attendance.
